COOKERY
Cookery is an interesting and very important part of
the growing Tourism in Ghana and you as a caterer
can make the tourists memory of eating and living in
Ghana last a life time. You will learn how to plan
nutritious and healthy menus for all kinds of people
from all walks of life. Last but not the least you
will fulfill one of the most important needs of
life, the need for food.
FOOD & BEVERAGE - SERVICE
As a waiter you have one of the most important
positions in hospitality since through customer
relations, neatness and enthusiasm you can make the
guest come back. Furthermore, the perception of
waiting with Ghanaians and foreigners alike is
changing, since they are aware of its importance.
ACCOMMODATION OPERATION AND SERVICES
This course will enable you to work in various
branches of the hospitality business like
housekeeping, banqueting, conferences, etc. Also you
could work in private households or be self employed
by organizing parties, funerals and some such, and
finally, you will not be a “Maid” but rather a Home
Manager/Organizer and the chances of High Level
Employment and promotion is quite good.
FASHION & DESIGNING
With this course you will have the advantage of
overtaking the roadside sewers because of your
diversified training, not only in sewing, but in
designing, millinery, beads making and handicraft to
name a few. You will have a high level training in
tailoring international standard dresses of all
kinds and opportunities for employment at factory
level are good.
ADVANCED COOKERY
The advanced course will give you the chance of
upgrading your previous knowledge of cookery. This
could result in employment as a supervisor or on
managerial level. You will also make a level jump on
the salary schemes and have the chance to promotion
5 years earlier than a caterer without the Advanced.
It is also of advantage for Polytechnics and/or
University entry.
YOU SHOULD BE…
You should be enthusiastic, polite, neat and
thorough; you should also be hard working and be
able to express yourself in good English.
Your job opportunities will be in hotels,
restaurants, and bars, in schools as matron or
teacher, in the armed forces, police or
fire-service, rest stops and many more.
